Lifestyle: Father's Day Gift Guide

Gift Guide For Dad

It's that time of year to celebrate the dads in your life. This year is extra special for our family as we celebrate my husband's first Father's Day.

It's truly an amazing thing to watch your partner become a parent and I feel super lucky to share this journey with my husband. To celebrate the occasion, Liya and I have a few surprises up our sleeve but we will definitely be spending quality time together and giving him lots of hugs.

For Father's Day

I love handmade and meaningful gifts in addition to a treat for dad but since our little one is too young to do anything on her own, I've been brainstorming ways to spoil my man. While hubs is more into experiences, I still like to get him an actual gift on certain special occasions.

If you're stuck for ideas, or looking for something to add to a gift for your dad or the father of your kids, here are a few of my favourite gifts.

I've selected a range of bigger ticket items as well as smaller gifts, so you can choose whatever suits your gift-giving style.

Sports Lover

Well for the Sports loving dad, first on my list has to be some Raptors fan gear in light of last night's amazing Championship victory. Bonus points if you can snag a Finals or Champions hat.

If he'd rather be the one playing the games, then I'd suggest a set of lawn games like this Ladderball set  or this Corn Hole set

These are fun activities and will  give dad something exciting to do with the kids in the backyard or at picnics all summer long.

Foodie Dad

If your dad/hubby is a foodie, I've got some great ideas.

I love these Himalayan Salt Shot Glasses if you know pops enjoys some tequila tasting from time to time. The natural salt means you don't have to rim the glass and it flavours the tequila for each sip.

A gift for the coffee lover, a nespresso machine is a bigger ticket gift. You can make your own espresso based drinks at home with this model and add milk froth to create cappucinos and lattes.

If you're more into coffee and less into espresso, a french press makes a great gift and an excellent cup of joe. You can purchase them in different sizes to accommodate the amount of cups you may need in the morning.

Bookworm Dad

If your husband is a "dad to be" or a new father then I'd recommend these two books: The Expectant Father and The New Father

My husband has read both and says they are an incredible source of information about things from delivery to activities to do with your baby.

Techie Dad

If your hubby loves his tech like mine does, then here are a few ideas for you:
An outlet wall mount for your Google Home Mini or an amazing Bluetooth Speaker would be great options.

Fit Dad

If your dad or husband is into fitness, some wireless earbuds would make a great gift. I also love this smart water bottle that alerts you with reminders to drink up.

Above all else, I think spending quality time together through an experience or meal is the best way to spend the day, but if you'd also like to spoil your dad or husband with  a present they can open, then I hope these ideas help you get a leg up on some Father's Day shopping for the men in your life.

Wishing all the dads, grandpas, uncles and father figures a wonderful weekend of celebration!
