What's in My Fridge?

They say you can learn a lot about a woman by what she has in her purse. If you ask me, you can also find out a lot about someone by looking in their fridge.
So I thought I'd share with you some of the things I always have on hand which make every day life...and meals...a little more exciting.

On any given day you will find all or most of the following in my fridge (depending on the day of the week and when we are going grocery shopping :) )

-lemons and limes
-avocados (I use these for salads, to eat on toast for breakfast or just to eat on it's own. I'll have to do a separate post on why I love avocados)
-individual portions of grapefruit packed in water (these are great for breakfast or for a snack to take to work)
-individual portions of hummus
-cheese (while I am cutting down on dairy, I still usually have some feta on hand)
-some kind of antipasto (olives, sundried tomatoes)
-spring lettuce mix (pre-washed)
-organic baby spinach (pre-washed)
-almond milk
-plain greek yogurt
-green beans
-celery
-cucumber
-herbs (the selection varies but right now I have mint, corriander, parsley, basil, thyme and rosemary in my fridge)
-fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, pears, apples and mangoes)....I also usually have bananas but I keep them out on the counter and not in the fridge

That's pretty much it. I also keep filtered water in my fridge in case I feel like having a cold glass but normally I just drink room temperature water. These are the things (With the exception of the cheese)
that will find their way on to my weekly shopping list. I go through a lot of spinach due to my green smoothies and a lot of spring lettuce mix due to salads for lunch. I absolutely love fruits and veggies and try to make it as easy as possible to eat these delicious and nutritious items by keeping them pre-washed or already cut in the fridge.

Healthy snacking = happy snacking :)
